Each resource has been developed by AbbVie's medical team, in collaboration with healthcare professionals.


The burden of migraine

Migraine is the third highest cause of disability-adjusted life years (DALYs) worldwide.Migraine affects 1.16 billion people worldwide, with a global prevelance of appropriately 15%.

Migraine affects multiple aspects of a person’s life. In adults with migraine worldwide*:3

- 78%† reported that social activities were effected by their migraine attacks. 

- 64%† of patients who experienced ≥ 4 migraine days/month in the last 3 months  reported that migraine had affected their private life. 

- 60%^ of those in employment missed at least 1 work day/month, with approximately 4.6 work days missed in the last month.
